Our Strategic Pillars
Four pillars underpin our delivery and guide what we do to support the realisation of our Vision and achievement of our goals.
We commit to sharing relevant and timely information with our members to support informed decision-making, compliance, and business best practice. Members receive regular communications and updates and opportunities for in-person connection. We inform our members about happenings, potential issues, proposed changes to laws that affect them, and host government department briefings, government ministers, and local and central government election candidate events.
We provide focused, relevant learning opportunities for our members; drive capable, knowledgeable, mature business leadership and management, and improved employee retention, engagement, and productivity, through supporting workforce development and upskilling staff.
Connection, relationship building, and attention to wellbeing are vital ingredients for successful, sustainable business. We facilitate networking, thought-leadership events, social gatherings, and team building, as well as offering support and guidance through challenging times to support resilience.
Our members voices are heard through our open-door-policy, our sector advisory groups, and our all-member surveys. We advocate for our member community locally and nationally on issues challenging individual business viability unduly influenced by external and environmental factors, and collectively, the wider regional business environment, and work to ensure that Whanganui remains a great place to live, learn, work, play, and do business.
