Business Whanganui – Chamber of Commerce Membership Agreement

As a member of Business Whanganui, you (and your staff) agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of Business Whanganui’s Membership Agreement as follows:

  • As a member, you agree to abide by Business Whanganui’s current constitution.
  • Membership agreements do not have an expiry date written into them. Memberships continue to renew annually until such point as a member resignation is received in writing by Business Whanganui to email support@businesswhanganui.nz
  • From 2025 Membership Subscriptions will be invoiced annually on 31 May and will be payable on the 20 June.
  • New member subscriptions from 1 July 2024 will be invoiced for the period from the date of joining to 31 May 2025, then annually from there. The first subscription is due for payment within 14 days of the date of invoice.
  • The duration of a Membership Subscription is set at 12-months (or part thereof up to June 2025).
  • Resignations received after the membership anniversary date will be subject to a pro-rata payment of the annual subscription.
  • Business Whanganui – Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to increase membership fees annually at the discretion of the Board.
  • Membership can only be resigned by the key contact specified in the Membership Agreement, or by a director of the member company.
  • Members may use all Chamber membership services.
  • For the duration of the membership, members may use the Business Whanganui – Chamber of Commerce logo, other than for endorsing goods and services.
  • Members agree to conduct themselves professionally and in the best interest of the business community for the duration of the membership.
  • The Business Whanganui Board reserves the right to revoke the membership of any member whose conduct or behaviour is deemed by the Business Whanganui Board to be injurious to the interest or reputation of Business Whanganui and its members.
  • Business Whanganui is not liable for any losses suffered by a member as a result of using services offered by a fellow member; or advice given, or services provided by its third-party service providers even though such providers may have been introduced to the member by Business Whanganui; or any failure to provide any members benefits caused by an event beyond Business Whanganui’s reasonable control.
  • Members authorise the publication of their business name, physical address, phone, website, and business description on the Business Whanganui’s publicly available web-based Member Directory. (Please let us know if you do not wish to be included in the Directory).
  • Photographs of members taken at Business Whanganui events may be used in promotional material, published on our website and/or social media. (Please let us know if you do not wish your photo to be used).
  • Information held on the membership database is confidential and used only by Business Whanganui. Personal information collected is used, disclosed, and stored by Business Whanganui in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and Business Whanganui Privacy Policy.
