Tipping point. The phrase was first used in sociology by Morton Grodzins when he adopted the phrase from physics where it referred to the adding of a small amount of weight to a balanced object until the additional weight caused the object to suddenly and completely topple, or tip. It is that critical point in a situation, process, or system beyond which a significant and often unstoppable effect or change takes place.
We have all had our tipping points in life and business, that eerie point in time just before the tipping point and the moment just after where you know an absolute change has taken place.
Join us at the Women After 5 event with Sharon Bryant where Sharon will share her story through 5 tipping points that led her from wanna-be-go-go-dancer to computer geek to impact investor.
Sharon is a self-proclaimed “scrapy start up girl” who has worked in the start-up space for some 20 years which is almost as long as she has lived in Whanganui.
She is an early-stage investor, mentor, advisor, and company director and is focused on working with purpose led ventures to create positive social and environmental change. She has a background in IT and was a founding partner of technology investment company, Movac.
We look forward to seeing you there!
