This month we welcome guest speaker Jennifer Taylor Moore, Curator of Collections for the Sarjeant Gallery Te Whare o Rehua Whanganui.
At our gathering Jennifer will share with us some of her experiences and delights from the Sarjeant Collection and Edith Collier Collection; excavating (literally) artworks and treasures from beneath the original Gallery prior to its redevelopment; and two further significant pieces of work – the wrap, pack, audit, and relocation of a collection of over 8,300 items – undertaken not once, but now twice.
