Lunch & Roundtable Discussion with the British High Commissioner

Business Whanganui and Carl Bates MP for Whanganui hosted lunch and roundtable discussion with Her Excellency, the British High Commissioner, Iona Thomas OBE.
This is a chance for businesses to share insights and experiences on:
- Trading with the UK — importers and exporters
- Making use of the UK–NZ Free Trade Agreement (the benefits and the challenges)
- Opportunities Whanganui businesses see in the UK market
The High Commissioner has indicated her interest in hearing directly from local business leaders importing from the UK, exporting to it, working with British expertise, or exploring new opportunities. The intention of the discussion is to help build a clearer understanding of the opportunities and challenges in the UK–NZ relationship and highlight the strengths and potential that Whanganui businesses can bring to it.
The session will be facilitated by Business Whanganui, with opening remarks from the High Commissioner, followed by an open discussion over lunch.
