Excel 101: Spreadsheets for Administrators

If you are new to Excel (or new-ish and self-taught) and want to learn spreadsheeting essentials, then this session is for you.

Here we will cover the basics of best practice when starting a spreadsheet, entering data in the most efficient way, and skills that will allow you to make the most of spreadsheet features including:

• Formatting cells
• Creating an Excel table
• Introduction to formula
• Sorting and filtering information
• Fill and Flash Fill

This is a hands-on, learn-by-doing session. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and have a go.

This course is suitable for anyone who is interested in learning about spreadsheets, no matter your age or stage. No previous experience required. Some basic computing knowledge would be helpful.

Please bring your own laptop.
