Jason Shailer and Hannah Whiteman are 100% SWEET! They are getting our school-leavers into employment and tertiary education. Borne out of community concern regarding the over-representation of NEETS, (students not in education, employment or training), they have successfully placed 250 school leavers into employment to date.
How can businesses contribute to growing this success and assist school leavers into employment? This is an opportunity to hear about the Work Ready Passport programme being delivered in secondary schools and discuss with Jason, how your business can benefit from having school leavers in your workforce.
Hayden Loader is a Board Member of 100% SWEET and is also the General Manager of Loaders Wanganui. Loaders is a family business started in 1954. The work they undertake is varied including four years in Christchurch rebuilding sewer networks after the quakes, and more recently a $9 million sectional rebuild of the retaining wall on Anzac Parade after the 2015 flood. Hear about how technology has changed the way they work and experience first-hand technology at its best.
