Julie moved to Whanganui from Auckland in October 2018. She is passionate about creating a learning environment that provides students with more opportunities for creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial endeavours, to develop their potential as aspirational, future-focussed citizens in our community. Julie believes that nurturing happiness, hope, wellbeing and engagement in each student are essential dispositions required for learning to ignite.
St George’s has launched DISCOVERY this year, which is designed to nurture these essential dispositions. Julie will talk about DISCOVERY – what is it and why and how it fosters citizenship and community.
