“Sales are the lifeblood of any organisation” is a favorite quote of Mike Clark. Starting out his career as a trainee production manager in Zimbabwe, Mike did not initially develop the greatest love of sales people with their propensity to promise clients that huge quantities of product would be delivered in miraculously short time-frames. As fate has it, Mike immigrated to NZ in 2004 securing a role as a Franchise manager selling kitchens. This path got more adventurous when a Mark Twain quote grabbed his attention, “Find a job you enjoy and you will never work a day in your life!” This led to working as a regional business advisor, being a business mentor, training and a time managing a call center.
Seeing the part that mindset played in the success of people and businesses, Mike formed Think Right in 2007. “When people think right, they act right and get the right results.” This passionate focus on helping teams and businesses realise and reach their potential has taken Mike around the world as a business trainer.
Mike believes that a focus on building a sales culture can have one of the single most positive impacts on any organisation. Every person in a business has an impact on sales (knowingly or not) and that the internal culture of a business is directly reflected in the external customer experience.
