Digital Inclusion Whanganui is a community-driven initiative helping people in our district get connected, stay safe, and build confidence with digital tools. It began from years of hands-on mahi supporting locals who were missing out on essential online services. Our mission is simple: equity first. We work with priority groups, local organisations, and whānau to remove barriers to access, skills, safety, and motivation. What makes us unique is our grassroots, first-principles approach and deeply local focus.

We offer practical, people-centred support to help individuals and organisations lift their digital confidence. This includes free digital safety drop-ins, guidance on devices and connectivity, help navigating online services, community outreach, and tailored support for priority groups. We also work with local partners, schools, and service providers to strengthen digital capability across the district. Our goal is to make digital inclusion simple, safe, and accessible for everyone in Whanganui.
