SUMMARY:Women After 5: Sharon Bryant – Impact Investor – Her Story
DESCRIPTION:Tipping point. The phrase was first used in sociology by Morton Grodzins when he adopted the phrase from physics where it referred to the adding of a small amount of weight to a balanced object until the additional weight caused the object to suddenly and completely topple\, or tip. It is that critical point in a situation\, process\, or system beyond which a significant and often unstoppable effect or change takes place. \nWe have all had our tipping points in life and business\, that eerie point in time just before the tipping point and the moment just after where you know an absolute change has taken place. \nJoin us at the Women After 5 event with Sharon Bryant where Sharon will share her story through 5 tipping points that led her from wanna-be-go-go-dancer to computer geek to impact investor. \nSharon is a self-proclaimed “scrapy start up girl” who has worked in the start-up space for some 20 years which is almost as long as she has lived in Whanganui. \nShe is an early-stage investor\, mentor\, advisor\, and company director and is focused on working with purpose led ventures to create positive social and environmental change. She has a background in IT and was a founding partner of technology investment company\, Movac. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \nJoamari van der Walt\, Vice-Chair \nImportant Information: \nNibbles and wine will be provided. \nTicket sales are limited. \nCancellation – Tickets are non-refundable upon less than 24-hour cancellation. \nPLUS! There will be three lucky draw prizes up for grabs sponsored by Natalie Sara Residential and Commercial Mortgage Advisor from Vegalend\, Prue Anderson from Prue Anderson Accounting\, and Louise Bird from Outsourced Personnel.
