SUMMARY:Women After 5: Sharon Bryant – Impact Investor – Her Story
DESCRIPTION:Tipping point. The phrase was first used in sociology by Morton Grodzins when he adopted the phrase from physics where it referred to the adding of a small amount of weight to a balanced object until the additional weight caused the object to suddenly and completely topple\, or tip. It is that critical point in a situation\, process\, or system beyond which a significant and often unstoppable effect or change takes place. \nWe have all had our tipping points in life and business\, that eerie point in time just before the tipping point and the moment just after where you know an absolute change has taken place. \nJoin us at the Women After 5 event with Sharon Bryant where Sharon will share her story through 5 tipping points that led her from wanna-be-go-go-dancer to computer geek to impact investor. \nSharon is a self-proclaimed “scrapy start up girl” who has worked in the start-up space for some 20 years which is almost as long as she has lived in Whanganui. \nShe is an early-stage investor\, mentor\, advisor\, and company director and is focused on working with purpose led ventures to create positive social and environmental change. She has a background in IT and was a founding partner of technology investment company\, Movac. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \nJoamari van der Walt\, Vice-Chair \nImportant Information: \nNibbles and wine will be provided. \nTicket sales are limited. \nCancellation – Tickets are non-refundable upon less than 24-hour cancellation. \nPLUS! There will be three lucky draw prizes up for grabs sponsored by Natalie Sara Residential and Commercial Mortgage Advisor from Vegalend\, Prue Anderson from Prue Anderson Accounting\, and Louise Bird from Outsourced Personnel.

SUMMARY:Women After 5 - Energy and Excellence with Raewyn Overton-Stuart
DESCRIPTION:When Leadership expert John Maxwell was asked\, \n“How do you know what you are meant to do in life” he replied: \n“The answer is really simple: Energy and Excellence. \nWhen you experience unbounded energy in what you are doing\, when you are driven to excellence in your work and love what you do – then you can rest assured that you have found your passion and are definitely in pursuit of your full potential.” Easy to say… hard to do! \nRaewyn Overton-Stuart is going to share what energy and excellence looks like for her\, with some key learnings as to how it has shaped her journey since founding PAUA in 2003. \nRaewyn Overton-Stuart started her career with a Kindergarten Teacher’s Diploma in the early 1980s in Christchurch. A move to Whanganui and PAUA (Preschoolers At-home Uniquely Achieving) was formed in 2003. It was born out of desire to provide a quality Home Based Early Childhood Education Service that would reflect her personal values. In 2012\, PAUA Poppetts Nanny Recruitment and Babysitting Service joined the PAUA whānau – adding to the services that we can provide\, especially for families holidaying in Auckland who need a babysitter in their hotel. PAUA Products (a toy shop – physical and online) and PAUA Print complete the businesses that she founded and runs. \nRaewyn is actively involved in the community; she has been part of the Chamber of Commerce board and Chair\, is a board member of the Whanganui City Mission\, part of Whanganui Daybreak Rotary and an active member of St Paul’s Presbyterian Church. \nJoin us at Women After 5 for an energetic session with Raewyn! \nCancellation Policy: 48-hours prior for refund
