DESCRIPTION:This half-day course is for those who have recently become a director or are about to join a Board. \nIt builds on the Introduction to the Duties of a Director (Gov101) course\, providing a detailed look at Strategy in the Board setting. \nThe session is interactive and will provide practical exercises to enhance your governance skills and experience. Participants will be provided with a set of board templates that can be adapted for their own use. The session covers: \n\nEnvironment Scan techniques\nHow to develop an effective strategy and ensure it is a living document\nBoard ownership of strategy – ensuring buy in from the operational side of the business\nStrategy Documents\nImplementation following strategy development\nTesting the Strategy – how do we know it is the right Strategy?\nReporting against the Strategy\n\n \nABOUT:\nThinking about becoming a director or trustee? Maybe you already are and want to brush up on your knowledge and skills? When is the right time to set up a governance board?
